Originally from Cuba, Dr. Perez Garcia graduated from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana and completed her Family Medicine Residency in both Cuba and Haiti. She subsequently pursued an accredited Ophthalmology Residency program at Calixto Garcia University Hospital in Cuba. Her dedication to her field led her to a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the prestigious Ramon Pando Ferrer Cuban Eye Institute, where she honed her skills as a vitreoretinal surgeon.
In 2019, Dr. Perez Garcia became ECFMG certified and embarked on her ophthalmic journey to care for patients in the United States. She furthered her expertise by completing a one-year Medical Retina Fellowship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Florida followed by two years in a comprehensive Medical and Surgical Retina fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Perez Garcia is bilingual in both English and Spanish, enabling her to effectively care for a diverse range of patients.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Perez Garcia enjoys cultural pursuits such as theater, ballet, and salsa dancing. She also finds time to unwind by playing table tennis and spending quality time with her family.
